Heber Springs Folklore Society Scholarship - must have at least a 2.8 GPA and submit 300 word essay with application. Deadline March 31, 2017

Cleburne County Extension Homemakers Scholarship - must major in agriculture, home economics, medical, or teaching professions. Deadline March 15, 2017

Report Cards for the first semester were handed out to High School students during Homeroom today, Wednesday, Jan. 11th.

Yearbooks are now on sale, ordering available from 1/4/17 to 5/15/17. $50.00 for personalization, $45.00 for standard. Order forms are in the High School office.

The Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame is offering $1,000 scholarships to students who participate in AAA sports. Information is available in the guidance office. Deadline is 1/13/17.

ASU Alumni Association is sponsoring a License2HOWL Scholarship. Information has been sent to senior email accounts. Please check for details.

Reminder: Tonight is FAFSA Night for Seniors and Parents - 5:30-7:30 at the HSHS Cafeteria. Bring your 2015 income tax return and laptop or chromebook. Financial aid representatives will be available.

Parents and students: With Homecoming week being behind us, I'd like to remind everyone of the student dress code. Parents, please observe your students outfit prior to their leaving for school.

Friday, Oct. 14th, is the end of the first nine weeks. Grades will be submitted and finalized next week, and your students report card will be given to them during Homeroom Friday, Oct. 21st.

Parents and students: College Night will be Tuesday, Oct. 11th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the new gym. All Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores, along with their parents, are invited to visit with college

representatives. In-state and out-of-state universities and colleges, technical and vocational programs will be present. We hope that you will come to support this opportunity for our students.

Seniors 2017 there will be a meeting on Thursday, October 6th in the Performing Arts Center during 2nd Homeroom. Please make every effort to attend!

The HSHS Homecoming Parade will be Friday, October 14th at 2:00 pm. Line up will begin at City Hall parking lot. The parade will be followed by a city wide pep rally at First Baptist Church Parking Lot. Go Panthers!

HSHS Tennis teams competed in their conference tournament. Lauren Lynch, Brandon Blankenship and Seth Jenkins qualified for 4A State Tournament. Lynea Cutshall, Jacob Blasingame, Noah Patton, Ashlyn Garrett and Tess Temple played very well. So proud of these student athletes!
