Seniors graduating: Seniors and Senior parents, this is a wild time for all of us! The good news is, most of you who want to graduate have done so- congratulations! It's been a long haul since the 7th grade, but we made it together! Recently, The Arkansas Department of Education has stated that any student who was in good standing at the end of the 3rd quarter is eligible for graduation. To be clear, "in good standing" means that you have passed all required credits for graduation through the fall semester of your senior year, and ALSO passed required credits for graduation the 3rd quarter during this spring semester. That said, you have a choice: (1) You can either stop working and take your 3rd quarter grade, which will be doubled to calculate your semester grade. (2) Or, you can complete the AMI assignments for a 4th quarter grade and it will average with your 3rd quarter grade as normal. This will allow those who wish to be finished to be finished, and those who wish to continue to be educated (or want to raise their semester grade) to have the opportunity to do so. Teachers will continue to post AMI assignments. If you do not do them, they will be "X" graded and your 3rd quarter grade will be your semester grade. IF you have not passed the 3rd quarter of this semester in a class required to graduate, you ARE NOT IN GOOD STANDING and you will need to do the 4th quarter AMI assignments to pass for the semester and graduate. Check ESchool to see if you passed the 3rd quarter. IF you are making up EdGenuity for credit recovery of a class required to graduate, you ARE NOT IN GOOD STANDING and you will need to complete that in order to receive the credit and graduate. Check your Edgenuity homepage to see if you have completed 100% with at least a 60% passing grade. CONCURRENT students must adhere to whatever policies are laid out by your ASU-B instructor. I will be making an announcement about how we will handle the graduation ceremony in the coming days this week. We will have a graduation of some kind for the Class of 2020. You guys have been a great class! Sincerely- Marc Griffin, High School Principal

High School grades for AMI Days: Parents and students, please be advised that students need to try their best to submit online assignments to their teachers daily, as that is what is most reflective of a real school day (which is what an AMI day is supposed to be). That said, a final decision about due dates and deadlines will not be made until after spring break. With this being the first time we've done AMI days, we are going to attempt to be flexible. However, students are strongly encouraged to treat these days just the same as they would if they were in class and submit their work in a timely manner. Procrastination is never a positive! Sincerely, Marc Griffin- High School Principal
