The 2019-20 school year is upon us and we look forward to another successful school year. Like many years, we have all kinds of changes. Fortunately, these changes are to give our students the best education possible. It is good for our parents and community to know that Heber Springs is one of the highest performing school districts in the state. This is not a change, for the past several years we have received no lower than a high “B” on our school rankings, with the Middle School getting an “A” over the last several years. This high performance is because our staff cares that our students are learning. That can’t be said everywhere. No school performs better in our surrounding area!

We have made several changes in our District to help our children be prepared for the future. At the High School, our students can now receive additional career and technical training in Nursing and Building Trades. This partnership with Conway Career Center has expanded our students’ opportunities. We still offer welding courses through ASU Heber, and our own Business, FCCLA, and FFA courses. We also have offerings in Robotics and Coding for our students.

We provide many ways for students in our community to get an education. We have the traditional k-12 program, alternative learning, online courses through Virtual Arkansas, and concurrent courses. Many of our students obtain several hours in our partnership with ASU Heber toward their future degree.

We also have started a new way to serve our community. We have families that elect to home school their children, yet, lack the resources to get a quality education. We have taken care of that too! We have an agreement with APSRC to provide approved k-12 learning opportunities for these families free of charge. We are so committed to seeing our students get an education that we pay for a program through APSRC called Lincoln Learning. Come see what the Panthers can offer!

For the kids,
